Sweet and sour
Prance through my mind
Leaving feelings behind
Thought I had rid myself
Of these memories
From long ago

I have let go
Moved on
So why do these memories
Continue to flow

Some slow
And play like a move
Others like a gleam of sunlight
There and gone
Without a trace

Memories
Of you and me
Sometime I gush
And tell someone of the memories
Playing in my head
It feels good
To let them out into the air
Like a burden off my chest

These memories
They stir up pain in my chest
Even though I put those feelings to rest
I couldn't tell you why
I couldn't tell you
How these memories happen to come into my head

They just do
Uninvited and unwanted
They come
They haunt me
The past isn't an easy thing to forget
For the memories will always stick
